BIOGRAPHY
My research field is the application of the spectral remote sensing on monitoring the soil quality and crop growth. I usually using different sensors (ground-based hyperspectral, UAV-based NIR image, multi-spectral image, thermal infrared image, fluorescence imaging, LIDAR etc.) and combine the multivariate statistical algorithms to interpret the spectral signal, extract the sensitive wavelengths, construct the predictive models for the physical, physiological and biochemical trait of soil and crop. Currently, I am interested in the data assimilation of crop model and remote sensing, and the high-throughput field phenotyping, especially, on the quantitative genetics to facilitate the crop breeding program.
In my group, I have constructed a database including the hyperspectral data and its corresponding crop traits (biomass, LAI, chlorophyll, nitrogen, water, SPAD, etc.) from 2011 to 2023 under different environments of nitrogen, drought, tillage, genotypes, eco-region etc. Next, I want to make a deep analysis on these data and expect to construct more robust and practical prediction models.
