Personal profile
Yang Wude, male, born in 1960, member of Jiusan Society, doctor, professor, doctoral supervisor. He is the member of the 5th and 6th Discipline Evaluation Group of Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council, the representative of Shanxi Provincial People's Congress, the science and technology innovation pacesetter of Shanxi Province, the winner of the Shanxi Provincial May 1 Labour Medal, the distinguished teacher of Shanxi Province, and the senior expert contacted by the provincial party committee. He is also the director of Scientific Observing and Experimental Station of Crop Cultivation and Cultivated Land Conservation in Loess Plateau of North China, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs. And he was former vice president of Shanxi Agricultural University.
He is concurrently the standing director of Chinese Coarse Cereals Association, the standing member of the Agricultural Information Branch of China Association of Agriculture Science Societies, the member of Agricultural Ecology Professional Committee of Ecological Society of China, the member of the editorial board of Crops, the deputy leader of the Group of Experts on Organic Dry Farming Agricultural Development of Shanxi Province. He is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research of crop ecology, cultivation and crop information technology.

Overview of Teaching and Research
In teaching, he focuses on undergraduate courses such as Precision Agriculture Foundation, Agricultural Ecology and GIS et al; master courses such as Agricultural Ecology, Principle and Application of GIS and Topics in Advanced Crop Cultivation and Farming System et al; PhD courses such as Crop physiology and ecology, Introduction to Sustainable Agricultural Development et al. He is the chief editor of the book-Modern Coarse Cereals Production, the chief editor of the textbook- Generality of Precision Agriculture in the 12th Five-Year Plan. He is also the deputy chief editor of five textbooks, which are General Ecology and Geographic Information System in the 10th Five-Year Plan, General Introduction of Agronomy, Geographic Information System and Agricultural Information Technology in the 11th Five-Year Plan. He has presided over and participated in 26 projects including international cooperation, National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Scholarship, provincial Natural Science Foundation and scientific and technological projects. Over 100 papers have been published in the international and national academic journals such as Soil & Tillage Research and Soil Science Society of America Journal et al. He is the chief editor and deputy chief editor of 7 textbooks or monographs, and he won the second prize of Scientific and Technological Progress Award of Shanxi Province for three times and the third prize for one time.
